CPD (On-line theory)
Are you a therapist needing to complete CPD (Continued Professional Development)? I thought I’d share the FutureLearn website which gives access to on-line courses which are great for in-depth anatomy theory. They are run by various universities and the only cost involved is paying for a certificate if you want to add it to your portfolio.
Having completed several practical courses this year I thought I’d revise my anatomy theory so have booked on a couple of the courses including ‘Liver Disease: Looking after your Liver’ and ‘Heart Health’. They offer courses in many disciplines so it’s worth a look even if your interests lie elsewhere.
Why complete CPD?
Continued Professional Development is required by many professional bodies and is a record of a therapists skills, knowledge and experience beyond their initial training. It is required to ensure the therapist is keeping up to date with new techniques and research. It also helps them continue to learn and grow as a therapist.

(Thanks go to my daughter for introducing me to the website as she’s taking some extra classes as part of her 6th Form enrichment programme).
